ThunderCon returns to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gressette Gymnasium. Now in its fourth year, the pop-culture convention brings together fans of comics, anime, video games and science fiction for a day of panels, vendors, cosplay and special guests.

This year's event has expanded to include a cosplay contest, VTuber Meet & Greet, Itasha car show, and a VIP wrestling show presented that evening by Tifton's Kraken Pro-Wrestling. Another major addition is The Fallout Xperience, a traveling immersive exhibit inspired by the Fallout franchise featuring handmade props, game-inspired backdrops, costumed Vault Dwellers and Wastelanders, and a life-sized Deathclaw statue.

Special guests include voice actors Chris Tergliafera, Patrick Pedraza and Shawn Gann, whose credits span Genshin Impact, Danganronpa, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Super, Attack on Titan, One Piece and numerous other anime and games. Power Rangers fans will also have a couple of familiar faces to meet: Romy Sharf, who portrayed Alpha 5 in the first two seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Ann Marie Crouch, who played Princess Shayla in Power Rangers Wild Force. Cosplay guests, authors and VTubers will also be appearing throughout the event.

ABAC students receive free general admission to ThunderCon as well as free admission to the VIP wrestling show. Organizers say ThunderCon was created to give students and the surrounding Tifton community another kind of campus event — particularly for those whose interests lean a little more toward Deathclaws, anime and Power Rangers than rodeos and tractor pulls.
